The dropdown menus work now. THAT will make things easier to navigate around.
This includes the mobile version of the site as well. (For THAT one the menu wasn't even clickable.) The issue was due to some invalid entries within the .htaccess for the site. So a little enabling of the SSL for the site and we were set. Now it's time to DROP some cash!

As of tonight, the website is at 90%. That missing 10% is because of the dropdown issue still not resolved.
But all 104 titles are ready for your perusal! Do feel free to report any other problems. Thank you. Just a note that dropdown menus off of the "Books" and "About" categories are not working. They'll show up for an instant when you first come to the page, or after you refresh, but disappear soon after. Timing about the same as the appearance of the "Log in" link, so there's some wacky coding going on there. Trouble Ticket generated after my rep (who was good to work with, and solved a couple other things) couldn't do anything else from his end.
We'll keep plugging away. And more books will show up as time goes on. Note: The website is still under construction as far as adding remaining book titles.
At one point about two weeks ago, all three of my websites (this one, my author site, and the Rainforest retreat site) were down. One due to a client rep that misunderstood what I needed even after explaining a half dozen times, another just to some technical error I had to have support deal with, and . . . Well, this one. It was time to get out of an old server that had become unreliable, and, frankly a bit scary. Switching over to the same server as my other two sites consolidates things. But I had to rebuild the Fairwood site from scratch. Almost. I had saved all the text. Everything else was plugging things back into a new builder and a new template. I'm still not up to speed. But I decided not to wait any longer and get this back up even though not all the press's titles are back in the store. (Most titles from the last three or four years are, however.) They'll trickle back in as I have time. I have to publish this with fingers crossed, hoping the shopping cart is working, along with the payment options. I've got a few more bells and whistles with this one! Please do let me know if something is awry. In the meantime, explore! And . . . well. Buy books! |
