Two Hour Transport 2 is a celebration of the writing community that has grown up around Two Hour Transport: the SF & Fantasy reading series that showcases writings from Seattle and beyond. The stories within are representative of our vibrant and diverse community. There’s a story in here for everyone: from unruly tapirs to planet-eating poets, from alien invasions to mind control. "A lovely collection of stories, featuring gems from both established authors and up-and-coming writers. This book is a wonderful reminder of the strong, flourishing community of SF writers with ties to Seattle and the Pacific Northwest."
— Tina Connolly, author of the Ironskin Trilogy
"This anthology is a real trip, taking you from the terrible to the sublime with multiple stops at fantastic stations in between."
— Curtis Chen, author of Waypoint Kangaroo and Kangaroo Too
“From steampunk to hard SF, this collection includes a wide variety of speculative fiction topics. Readers will find excellent poetry, flash fiction, and longer stories.”
— Brenda Cooper, author of The Silver Ship and the Sea
Ramona Ridgewell is a Seattle writer and poet whose works include poems in Eccentric Orbits: An Anthology of Science Fiction Poetry Vol 4 and Vol 5. Her debut novel is a vampire urban fantasy due out in October, 2024 (from which her story was excerpted). She has been reading at Two Hour Transport events since 2016, and on the management team since 2019.
Keyan Bowes, a peripatetic writer of speculative fiction, is based in the US. With around forty short stories and poems published — sometime more than once — her work can be found online in various webzines, a podcast, and an award-winning short film; and in over a dozen print anthologies. She’s lived in ten cities in seven countries and visited many others. They often appear as the settings for her stories. A member of SFWA and a graduate of the Clarion Workshop for writers, Keyan’s been attending Two Hour Transport since 2016.
