CHELLIS S. JENSEN
When teasing forces a person to seek a new name, something has to happen to bring the two generations together.
“My name is Mrs. Annathena Gilly Gully from Puddle Rumple Tilly Willy. The Mister is long gone…just got sick and died. You listen, and I’ll tell you how I got my name.”
“Many years ago, in a country you’ve never heard of, there was a place called Puddle Rumple Tilly Willy. In a small part of that place was a gully. Don’t you know what a gully is? Look it up! My ancestors came to live in that gully. As years went by, they decided they should have a last name. They chose the name Gilly, and called themselves the Gilly Gully people from Puddle Rumple Tilly Willy. This told everybody what their last name was and where they lived. Today it is right to give your full name when you introduce yourself to anyone, even if you no longer still live in that place.”

"Never have I had so much fun editing a book as when I worked with Author Chellis Jensen on her (catchy-to-pronounce) book about Mrs. Annathena Gilly Gully From Puddle Rumple Tilly Willy. It took me only three weeks of practice to let the name roll off my tongue. I'm sure children do it in much less time. This book is a jewel of a book for kids who love to smile and have fun with words. Jensen is a topnotch wordsmith with the heart and understanding of children of all ages."
